About me

I grew up in the Piedmont region of North Carolina and studied painting at UNC-Charlotte. After graduating, I pursued a career as a textile artist
and designed woven fabrics for the Home Furnishings Industry.
I currently live in the port city of Wilmington, NC.
I have a lifelong interest in working with diverse artistic media, resulting in an eclectic artistic journey and a wide range of skills. The quest to learn and explore sparks my creativity and is a source of inspiration. The main focus of my 3D work is now hand-built ceramics with an emphasis on surface design utilizing my painting skills. For the past five years I have participated in Airlie Gardens Annual Art Exhibit and have painted one of the oversized fiberglass sculptures displayed throughout the gardens.
I also create watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings, also mixed media pieces.

I am a member of Wilmington Art Association, Island Arts Council, Coastal Carolina Clay Guild and the Art League of Leland and participate in exhibitions, markets and festivals throughout the Cape Fear region.
