About me

I grew up in the Piedmont region of North Carolina and studied painting at UNC-Charlotte. After graduating, I pursued a career as a textile artist
and designed woven fabrics for the Home Furnishings Industry.
I currently live in the port city of Wilmington, NC.
I have a lifelong interest in working with diverse artistic media. The result is an eclectic artistic journey and a wide range of skills. The quest to learn and explore sparks my creativity and is a source of inspiration. My 3D work consists of carved and painted gourds and hand-built ceramics. For the past four years I have been selected to participate in Airlie Gardens Annual Art Exhibit. Each year ten oversized fiberglass sculptures are painted and embellished by local artists and then displayed throughout the gardens. I also create oil and acrylic paintings and mixed media pieces.

I am a member of Wilmington Art Association and the Art League of Leland and participate in exhibitions and festivals throughout the Cape Fear region.
