About me

I grew up in the Piedmont region of North Carolina and studied painting at UNC Charlotte. After graduating, I worked as a textile artist designing woven fabrics for the home furnishings industry—an experience that continues to influence my love of pattern and surface.

I now live and work in Wilmington, North Carolina, where I maintain a studio practice that includes ceramics, painting, and large-scale painted public sculptures.

Inspired by the natural world, my work draws from botanical forms and fairytale-like storytelling. I create hand-built ceramic work with a strong focus on surface design, bringing a painterly approach to color, pattern, and texture.

Whether working in clay or paint, my work is guided by curiosity, material exploration, and the joy of the creative process.

I am a member of Wilmington Art Association, Island Arts Council, Coastal Carolina Clay Guild and the Art League of Leland and participate in exhibitions, markets and festivals throughout the Cape Fear region.
